MERCY

1.  TREATING AN OFFENDER WITH LESS SEVERITY THAN HE OR SHE DESERVES
2.  COMPASSION SHOWN TO AN OFFENDER
3.  TO SHOW FAVOR OR SUPPORT

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And THAT HE MIGHT MAKE KNOWN THE RICHES OF HIS GLORY ON THE VESSELS OF MERCY, which he had afore prepared unto glory, EVEN US, WHOM HE HATH CALLED, NOT OF THE JEWS ONLY, but ALSO OF THE GENTILES?
Romans 9:21-24

For as ye IN TIMES PAST HAVE NOT BELIEVED GOD, YET HAVE NOW OBTAINED MERCY THROUGH THEIR UNBELIEF: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For GOD HATH CONCLUDED THEM ALL IN UNBELIEF, THAT HE MIGHT HAVE MERCY UPON ALL.
Romans 11:30-32

And that THE GENTILES MIGHT GLORIFY GOD FOR HIS MERCY; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. AND AGAIN HE SAITH, REJOICE, YE GENTILES, WITH HIS PEOPLE. And again, PRAISE THE LORD, ALL YE GENTILES; and LAUD (ACLAIM) HIM, ALL YE PEOPLE.
Romans 15:9-11

But GOD, who is RICH IN MERCY, for HIS GREAT LOVE WHEREWITH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN SINS, HATH QUICKENED US TOGETHER WITH CHRIST, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath RAISED US UP TOGETHER, and MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS: That in the ages to come he might SHEW THE EXCEEDING RICHES OF HIS GRACE (DIVINE FAVOR) IN HIS KINDNESS TOWARD US THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.
Ephesians 2:4-7

BUT AFTER THAT THE KINDNESS AND LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR TOWARD MAN APPEARED, NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, but ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US, BY THE WASHING OF REGENERATION, and RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Titus 3:4-6

For we have not an HIGH PRIEST which cannot be TOUCHED WITH THE FEELING OF OUR INFIRMITIES; but WAS IN ALL POINTS TEMPTED LIKE AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN. Let us therefore COME BOLDLY UNTO THE THRONE OF GRACE (DIVINE FAVOR), THAT WE MAY OBTAIN MERCY, and FIND GRACE (DIVINE FAVOR) TO HELP IN TIME OF NEED.
Hebrews 4:15-16

For THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL after those days, saith the Lord; I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MIND, and WRITE THEM IN THEIR HEARTS: and I WILL BE TO THEM A GOD, and THEY SHALL BE TO ME A PEOPLE: For I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR INIQUITIES WILL I REMEMBER NO MORE. In that he saith, A NEW COVENANT, HE HATH MADE THE FIRST OLD. NOW THAT WHICH DECAYETH and WAXETH OLD IS READY TO VANISH AWAY.
